Courses in English

A limited number of our courses is readily available in English:
  • Linux/UNIX part 1
    The English equivalent of our highly succesful introductory course in Dutch. This course is scheduled by request: either for a number of individual students willing to form a waiting list first, or as an in-company training.
  • Linux/UNIX part 2
    Our shell-scripting course: covers the Korn/bash shell scripting techniques, plus the heavy-duty tools awk and sed. This course is scheduled by request: either for a number of individual students willing to form a waiting list first, or as an in-company training.
  • Linux Professional Institute LPIC-3
    A four day course in preparation of the Linux Professional Institute 301 core exam for the LPIC3 certification. The course consists of a three-day course module for LDAP, the Leightweight Directory Access Protocol, followed by a one-day course module on Performance Analysis and Capacity Planning. The modules may be taken separately.
  • The programming language Python
    A three day course to learn how to write programs in the Python programming language. The course material is in English and the teaching language will be English.
  • Android Java primer
    A two day course to learn the basics of the Java programming language, enough to be able to learn how to write Android apps. The course material is in English and the teaching language will be English.
  • Android development fundamentals
    A three day course to learn the basic skills to build applications (apps) for the Android platform. The course material is in English and the teaching language will be English.
  • Linux device drivers
    A four day course on Linux device drivers, with an emphasis on the classic character driver model. Students will program a character driver during the course. Block device drivers and network drivers are covered briefly. Drivers for USB hardware get special coverage, including a lab exercise. This course is part of our regular course schedule, and usually runs once or twice per year. The course material is in English, and the teaching language will be English unless the attendants prefer the Dutch language unanimously.

Translation into English

Our existing course material can be converted into English upon demand. Mixed conversions, with parts of our own material replaced by text books, may be a cost-effective alternative. Supported by our transportable course room outfits we can deliver our courses anywhere within the European Union.

On-line video courses

AT Computing distributes video courses in English for LPIC-1, and in German for both LPIC-1 and LPIC-2. These courses were developed by partner companies.
